Students should start at their individual level of mastery. While concepts are reviewed continuously throughout the Math-U-See Curriculum, it is important that previously presented concepts have prepared a solid foundation. Your student may be ready for Delta if they can:

Comfortably add or subtract multiple-digit numbers using regrouping as needed
Recall single-digit multiplication facts from memory
Demonstrate a multiplication problem by building or drawing a rectangle
List the multiplication facts of a given number
Solve for an unknown factor
Write a subtraction equation (number sentence) to solve a word problem
Write a multiplication equation (number sentence) to solve a word problem
